Clinic and knowledge in movement: Academic Productions on the Therapeutic Accompaniment Device

Abstract

This article presents a literature review spanning the years 2015-2021 about the Therapeutic Accompaniment (TA) device in Brazil. Based on the research using the keywords a) Accompaniment b) Therapeutic and c) Psychology conducted in the SciELO and PEPSIC databases, 84 articles were obtained and 33 of them were selected that focus on TA as a practice of Psychology. The study is grounded in Psychoanalysis as its theoretical framework and utilizes a systematic literature review methodology, traversing signifiers elements of the texts and tracing analyses. A contextual and conceptual panorama of the productions is presented, discussing the specifics of TA. It was observed that the TA is mainly focused on cases of severe psychoses and/or neuroses. By enabling the expansion of the setting into the urban context, TA is configured as a clinical device that operates in the polis, highlighting the importance of articulating rights and citizenship.
