Abstract

In this paper, we show how discourses that circulate with evidence of Psychiatry circulate in contemporary Brazilian daily life. It is research, therefore, that debates and also refers to the historical-discursive aspects of the construction of a notion of interiority. For this, reports about Brazilian politicians were analyzed (including headlines, news hats, comments from readers/internet users), according to the reference of Pêcheux's Discourse Analysis and Lacan's Psychoanalysis. The results show a dispersed subject, between the evidence of the “diagnosis” and the erasure of other possible interpretations, namely: the relationship between politics and crime, disagreement and contradiction to the detriment of consensus.
