Abstract

Britain and the Aftermath of Empire. Uncommon Wealth, it is a book written by Koram Kojo, which analyses the construction of the British Empire and the consequences of this Empire today. The resonances are living with us from the capitalism, exploitation of millions of people worldwide, tax paradises, management of financial services, supremacy of transnational companies until the institutional racism and the construction of global institutions that rule the public policies around the world. For Koram, politics has become a process of negotiating between the global multinational corporations and the local governments, where the last word is imposed by the commercial corporations.
