20 Years of the Political Consciousness Model

Abstract

In January 2001, Salvador presented his Political Consciousness model to the national scientific community in the first edition of the Brazilian Journal of Political Psychology. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this event, the members of the Political Psychology and Social Movement Research Group at PUC/SP held two virtual events in which participants asked Sandoval questions about the model. During these events, young researchers, former students, and colleagues led Salvador to revisit the motivations, reasons, and ideas present at the time of the creation of the model and evaluate its use over time. The events were recorded, and the group members reviewed the four hours of footage produced.
