Abstract

This article presents the results of a bibliographic review that aimed to map recent brazilian publications on the relationship between neoliberalism and basic education. As main results, it was found that this theme has gained space in publications, mainly in investigations of documentary nature. It was also found that few studies discuss specific modalities or stages of basic education, with a predominance of analyzes that focus on this cycle as a whole. Also, that the logic of business administration entered the organization of Brazilian education; that the selection of content has been strongly influenced by the evaluation process with a view to positioning it in rankings; and that such aspects have guided changes in legislation.
