Aplicações de Métodos Quantitativos Associados ao Modelo Analítico de Consciência Política

Abstract

The Analytical Model of Political Awareness (MACP) by Salvador Sandoval has been used as an analytical tool on the subject's predisposition to act as a political actor in the society. This study intended to map the application of the model in academic research projects using quantitative methods. We identified the works of Azevedo (2011), Alves (2013), França (2015), Coriolano (2019) and Silva Junior (2021). These works have in common the application of surveys in sample populations over 250 individuals and the use of statistical softwares such as SPSS and R, while the statistical technique applied was quite diverse. The analysis of these works points, on the one hand, to the multiple statistical possibilities when applying quantitative methods associated with the MACP and, on the other hand, to the lack of a culture of application of this type of methodology by Social Psychology and Political Psychology in the country.
