Abstract

This research aimed to understand how rural contexts modulate the way of looking and acting of psychologists linked to SUS in municipalities in a Health Region of Paraná. The methodology was guided by the institutionalist perspective, in the convergence between cartography and institutional analysis. For the analysis, interviews with 16 psychologists / those working in public health services in the nine municipalities of the 4th Health Region of Paraná were considered. The results were presented and discussed along three analytical axes: rural contexts: territories (not) seen; The recognition of rural contexts: perceptual modulations; The work of psychologists: modulations of performance in rural contexts. We affirm the need to recognize rural contexts, their specificities and heterogeneity, providing an exercise in modulating psychological practices in the territory.
