It allocates 30% of its space to interdisciplinary publications, in dialog with Critical Social Psychology.
The journal is part of the Graduate Program in Psychology at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), which is its Sponsor; it is affiliated to National Association for Research and Postgraduate Studies in Psychology - ANPEPP Editors' Forum, PEPSIC (Psychology Periodicals) and ABEC (The Brazilian Association of Scientific) Editors.
Guidelines and standards for authors
The editorial review will begin after an initial check of the text, considering that it meets all the journal's standards in terms of scope and established sessions. If this is not the case, the text will be asked to conform to the rules and then be resubmitted. After evaluating the form, if the text is considered by the Editors to be potentially publishable in the journal, the Authors will be informed about the beginning of the editorial process.
The text will then be sent to 2 (two) Consultants selected by the Editors among researchers of recognized competence in the field. The authorship of the text is not informed to the Consultants, nor is the identity of the Consultants informed to the Authors.
In the event of conflicts of interest in the evaluation process, the editors will forward the manuscript to another reviewer. After analysis, the reviewers can fully accept, reject or recommend the publication of the manuscripts by suggesting changes to their content. Authors receive copies of the reviewers' opinions.
If the text is rejected, the Authors can resubmit it to the journal after careful review, taking into account the opinions received. In general, texts are sent to the same ad hoc consultants.
Recommendations for publication, together with suggestions for changes to the work, aim to improve the clarity or precision of the text, in accordance with the journal's quality standards. A reformulated version of the text must be submitted for consideration with a view to acceptance. This version must be accompanied by a letter from the Authors to the Editors when they do not agree with some of the Consultants' suggestions, informing them of the changes made and justifying those not made.
The letter and the revised text are sent to one of the journal's advisors, together with the original version and the opinions of the consultants for analysis. The final decision on whether to publish a text rests with the Editors, assisted by the opinions of the Consultants and Advisors.
The Editors communicate the result to the Authors by e-mail as soon as possible, indicating the date and issue of the journal on which the article will be published.
