Articles

Original research based on empirical data, using qualitative and/or quantitative methodology. There should be a critical discussion of the results, explaining the contribution to the production of knowledge. In this case, it must contain an introduction, method, results, discussion and conclusions (15-20 pages).

Theoretical Studies/Essays

Theoretically based analyses of themes and issues. Involves critical reflection and questioning of existing ways of thinking and acting, as well as proposing timely elaborations that broaden discussions on a given topic (15-20 pages).

Experience Report

Reports should be based on a professional experience of interest and relevance to different psychological and/or related practices. It should contribute to the improvement of professional practices (10-15 pages).

Review Studies

This aims to provide a rigorous analysis of the scientific literature on a given topic in psychology and/or related areas (15-20 pages).

Peer Review Process

The editorial review process will only be initiated if the text complies with all the journal's rules regarding Focus, scope and established sessions. Otherwise, you will be asked to adapt to the rules and then, a new submission will be made.

If the text complies with the standards mentioned herein, and is considered by the Editors to be potentially publishable in the journal, the Authors will be notified by e-mail about the beginning of the editorial process.

The text will then be forwarded to 2 (two) ad hoc Consultants.

Ad hoc Consultants are chosen by the Editors, among researchers of recognized competence in the area.

The authorship of the text is not informed to the Ad hoc Consultants, and the identity of the Consultants is not informed to the Authors.

In the event of conflicts of interest in the evaluation process by the ad hoc Consultant, the editors will forward the manuscript to another reviewer. has any kind of impediment to express its opinion, immediately return it to the Editors.

After analysis, ad hoc Consultants may fully accept, reject or recommend the publication of the texts by suggesting changes to their content. Authors receive copies of the Consultants' opinions.

If the text is rejected, the Authors can resubmit it to the journal after careful review, considering the opinions received. In general, texts are forwarded to the same Ad hoc Consultants.

The recommendation for publication associated with suggestions for modifying the work aims to improve the clarity or precision of the text, according to the quality standards of the scientific journal. A redrafted version of the text must be submitted for consideration with a view to gaining acceptance. This version must be accompanied by a letter from the Authors to the Editors when they do not agree with some of the Consultants' suggestions, informing the changes made and justifying those not made.

This letter and the reformulated text are forwarded to one of the magazine's Councilors, together with the original version and the opinions of the ad hoc Consultants, for analysis. The Counselor can reject it, suggest modifications (how many times it deems necessary) or indicate the reformulated text for publication. At this stage, the Counselor will be aware of the identity of the Authors and Consultants involved.

The final decision on the publication of a text rests with the Editors, aided by the opinions of Consultants and Advisors.

The Editors communicate the final result to the Authors, by e-mail, as soon as possible, indicating the date and number of the journal foreseen for the publication of the article.
