The Political Consciousness Model, proposed by Salvador Sandoval, has been used to analyze political action processes. Dynamic model, conceives political consciousness as a thought to be made aware of, an active process that allows the attribution of meanings to political events, interaction between the cultural universe in which the subjects are inserted, their cognitions and affections. The model presents seven dimensions of project and action: Collective Identity; Beliefs, Values and Societal Expectations; Collective Interests; Political Effectiveness; Feelings related to Adversaries; Goals and Repertoire of Actions and Willingness to Act Collectively. In this article we discuss memory as a transversal dimension to the others, as there is a constant dialogue between memory and psychopolitical experience, one mediating the other. From the perspective of political memory, consciousness functions as a re-reading of ourselves and our positions in relation to political phenomena. Political memory is, therefore, a process of constant disputes and negotiations.
