The present work contains an introduction to the translation into Brazilian Portuguese of the article Antipsychiatry and antipsychoanalysis (Antipsiquiatria y antipsicoanálisis), by Ignacio Martín-Baró (1973/2022). It discusses fundamental aspects, contextualizing it, reiterating its relevance, and advancing in the debate to which it proposes, namely: the criticism and transformation of the psych field (psychiatry, psychology, and psychoanalysis). We aim to encourage the debate on the critique of psychology in a radical perspective, from Marxism. Is it not up to us to build an antipsychology, like antipsychiatry and antipsychoanalysis? A subsumption of psychology, in the sense of affirming it, but also denying it and producing itself as a negation of negation? If for Martín-Baró (1973), for a new society to emerge, this science (psychology) must stop being not only this science, but ours, for us, it must also cease to be, it must be overcome.
