Ethical Leadership: Bibliometric Analysis of Web of Science Publications

Abstract

Ethical leadership has been increasingly investigated, given the impact it may have on workers and organizations. The objective of this study is to analyze the state of the art of research on ethical leadership, identifying
the antecedent and consequent variables, main authors, and locus of publications. Data were collected from the Web of Science platform and analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that the volume of publications grew significantly after 2007, having identified the most influential authors and collaboration networks. Most studies were developed in the United States and China, and they focus primarily on the consequences of the ethical exercise of leadership, however the factors that may favor this behavior in leaders are still incipient. The study advanced the understanding of the construct, identifying contributions and gaps in scientific research, in addition to presenting trends and research opportunities in this field of knowledge.

    Professor e pesquisador da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Atua, mais especificamente, nas disciplinas de Simulação de Sistemas, Planejamento e Controle da Produção e Controle Estatístico de Processo. Docente do curso de Engenharia de Produção do Campus Aparecida de Goiânia. Engenheiro de Produção, Mestre em Modelagem e Otimização pela Universidade Federal de Goiás e Doutorando em Psicologia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás. Tem experiência profissional, no cargo de Engenheiro Logístico, nas áreas de Planejamento e Controle da Produção e Planejamento Logístico. Atuando em mais de 14 projetos automobilísticos nas empresas Mitsubishi Motors do Brasil e Suzuki Motors do Brasil com práticas Lean. Implementação de mais de 100 novas operações que possibilitaram redução de utilização de espaço físico, otimização de movimentação internas nos postos de trabalhos, minimização de atividades logísticas e melhorias visuais nas linhas de montagem. Coordenador do Projeto de Pesquisa "Pensamento Enxuto", desenvolvido na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia FCT/UFG com participação alunos e docentes do curso de Engenharia de Produção. Realiza pesquisas nos seguintes temas: lean manufacturing, indústria 4.0, Liderança ética e Planejamento e Controle da Produção.

Fez o pós-doutorado no Instituto Universitário de Lisboa - ISCTE/IUL. É professora titular da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás, onde ensina na graduação e na pós-graduação. Assumiu na PUC-Goiás os seguintes cargos: Diretora do Curso de Psicologia; Pró-Reitora de Desenvolvimento Institucional; Pró-Reitora de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa; Pró-Reitora de Graduação. Seus estudos tem como ênfase os Processos Psicossociais no Trabalho, com foco prioritário nos seguintes temas: Cultura e justiça organizacional, saúde do trabalhador, coping e bem-estar no trabalho.
