Abstract

This research aimed to raise articles that have as object of study the access and permanence of people with autism in the labor market. This is an integrative review (IR), with an exploratory and qualitative nature. In view of the choice of theme, the descriptors were as follows: “Transtorno do Espectro Autista” AND “Mercado de Trabalho” OR “Autism Spectrum Disorder” AND “Job Market” OR “Trastorno del Espectro Autista” AND “Mercado de Trabajo”. The inclusion criteria were (a) articles between the period from January 2015 to May 2021, (b) being in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, and (c) related to the research theme. Exclusion criteria were (a) articles not available in full, and (b) theses and dissertations. Sixteen publications that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected. Of these, 81.25% (13) were located in the UFPB Integrated Library (BI-UFPB), 12.5% (2) in Capes, and 6.25% (1) in the two concurrent libraries. In the studies, aspects related to access to employment and factors that influenced the permanence of people with ASD in the labor market were explained.
