Anti-Bullying Interventions in Latin America: a Systematic Literature Review

Authors

Abstract

Despite the negative consequences of moral harassment, there are few interventions reported in the literature. This study analyzed anti-bullying interventions conducted in Latin America. The REDALYC, REDIB, SCIELO, EBSCO, Scopus and NEPPOT databases were consulted using the words related to 'moral harassment' and 'intervention' as descriptors. Subsequently, the duplicate articles were discarded, the abstracts evaluated and the selected articles read in full, recording aspects such as year of publication, and methods used. The individual quality of the articles was assessed by BE2. The reporting and synthesis of the systematic review were guided by PRISMA. Nine studies were included. Of these studies, 55% were published from 2017 onwards; 77% were conducted in Brazil; 44% were tertiary level interventions; and 88% were rated as 'low' quality. Further research is needed, despite the importance of the data collected for characterizing the state of the art in this area.

Keywords: harassment, literature review, labor.
