ADN BEING AND THE APPROACH TO FAMILY HISTORY AND THE CHALLENGES OF CHILD ABANDONMENT

The work historically revisits the phenomenon of child abandonment and the family institution, highlighting the evolution and complexity of family functions over time. The experience of abandonment impacts individual development, thus seeking to investigate the constitution of being a person, based on phenomenology. The focus of this investigation is the impact of the family and the experience of child abandonment, through a case study on the experiences of neglected girls sheltered by Casa de Nazaré, in Arcoverde, Pernambuco. The research was carried out through an exploratory bibliographic review on the influence of spirituality on the reframing of trauma in sheltered girls. Using primary and secondary sources, philosophical and psychological materials available in databases such as VHL, IndexPsi, LILACS, PePSIC and SciELO were analyzed. The analysis reveals how child abandonment exposes vulnerabilities and flaws in social policies and points to spirituality as an important element in the interviewees' resilience process.
