https://doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2025.25228
Abstract
Considering the importance of developing actions aimed at protecting mental health in the face of public health crisis contexts, this study aimed to map scientific knowledge on coping strategies for workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. A scoping review was carried out, based on the PRISMA-ScR Recommendation, with a search carried out in three databases and 78 publications were included for thematic and bibliometric analysis. The results highlight that active coping and avoidance strategies are more frequently adopted, and also indicate the concentration of research conducted with health professionals in the global north. Gaps were identified, which include the low number of studies carried out in Brazil and in professional categories subjected to teleworking, and which can be included in the future research agenda, in order to subsidize the structuring of actions to face public health crises.
Keywords: coping strategies, workers, COVID-19.
