Sustainability of the journal Psicologia Organizações e Trabalho (rPOT).

On February 8, 2023, the Brazilian Association of Organizational and Work Psychology (SBPOT) held an Extraordinary Assembly. One of the topics on the agenda was the sustainability of the journal Psicologia Organizações e Trabalho (rPOT). This issue had already been the subject of discussions at tables held during the Brazilian Congresses of Organizational and Work Psychology (CBPOT). These discussions allowed the analysis of rPOT's financial sustainability problems to mature. A proposal for a solution emerged from them, which was detailed by the Editor-in-Chief of rPOT and presented by the SBPOT Board of Directors at the aforementioned Assembly.

The proposal approved at the Assembly was to establish an initial fee of R$600.00 (six hundred reais) - starting in the second half of 2023 - to be charged for each article accepted for publication. SBPOT members - who are the first or second authors of the articles - will receive a 50% discount on this amount. These fees will only apply to the publication of accepted articles. rPOT will continue its policy of not charging any fees for submitting or evaluating manuscripts.

We would like to point out that rPOT maintains an open access policy for its articles, in line with the principles of indexers (such as the DOAJ, in which rPOT is indexed). This means that rPOT allows immediate free access to the work and authorizes any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, transmit them as data to software or use them for any other lawful purpose.
