Sentidos do Trabalho Policial e suas Relações com os Vínculos Organizacionais
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the relationship between antecedents of meanings of work, meanings of police work and organizational bonds in the civil police of a state in southern Brazil. Was applied a survey with 05 scales for the constructs: Antecedents of Meaning; Meaning of Work, Organizational Commitment, Organizational Consent and Organizational Entrenchment, with a sample of 372 respondents, divided into two sub-samples to carry out Exploratory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The theoretical model tested confirmed the literature findings regarding the high relationship between Meaning of Work and Organizational Commitment and verified a moderate relationship between Meaning of Work and Organizational Consent and a weak, but positive, relationship with Organizational Entrenchment. Only Moral Rectitude could be positively related to the Meaning of Work as an antecedent variable.
