Espiritualidade no Trabalho e Vínculos Organizacionais: Perspectiva de Trabalhadores de uma Cooperativa de Crédito
Abstract
This research aims to identify the relationship between spirituality at work and
organizational bonds, based on the perception of professionals working in a Brazilian credit
cooperative. With a quantitative approach, a structured questionnaire was used to collect data
applied during the months of October 2022 to May 2023. The results were analyzed with the
aid of the partial least squares structural equation modeling technique (PLS-SEM) - SmartPLS®
software version 4.1.0.0, eight out of ten established hypotheses were confirmed. The research
involved the participation of 702 workers from different positions. The results suggest a direct
relationship between spirituality and the bonds of commitment, organizational consent, and
between the dimensions of work as a purpose in life (Spirituality at Work) with two dimensions
of entrenchment. Furthermore, an inverse relationship was found between spirituality and the
Limitation of Alternatives (Organizational Entrenchment) dimension
