Evidence of Validity of the Leadership Training Impact Scale in Professional Life
Abstract
Organizations and researchers continuously investigate the impact of training and development programs on the work of graduates. The effect of training consists of how much the training contributed to the change in behavior in the graduate's position. This research was conducted to adapt and investigate evidence of the psychometric validity of a scale for assessing the impact of leadership training on the professional lives of graduates. It was carried out in a large financial organization in Brazil, with the participation of 1,482 employees, through an electronic questionnaire. A leadership development program for women was evaluated from 2021 to 2022, with the voluntary involvement of both men and women. The scale was subjected to exploratory and semi-confirmatory factor analyses, in addition to descriptive statistics. The results indicated that the scale has evidence of validity, accuracy, and reliability, and can be applied in different organizational contexts.
