Abstract

This study identifies teaching competencies, challenges, and educational solutions from an online Psychology course taught remotely at a Brazilian public university with the help of digital platforms. The research is based on classes that were delivered during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using data collected through interviews and an adapted Delphi method, researchers developed a framework to support the training of organizational and work psychology (OWP) professionals in designing instructional strategies for use in a digital environment. The topics identified as the most relevant were (i) effective environment management, (ii) use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), and (iii) effective communication. Learning outcomes and course reaction indicators from graduating alumni suggest that the strategy and solutions adopted are effective and conducive to a sound expression of the desired competencies. The framework is also useful to managers and instructors as they refine their instructional strategies for use in digital contexts.
