Abstract

The objective was to analyze the conceptions of professionals from health services and management of the municipal network on co-management. The Focus Group (FG) technique was used for data collection. This was followed by a lexical analysis of the Descending Hierarchical Classification type using the Iramuteq software. The results delineated four classes: 1. “Barriers to users accessing public health”; 2. “Service in focus”; 3. “Devices and arrangements for co-management: potentialities and challenges”; 4. “Management of work processes: it is possible, but not always”. Co-management was understood as a way of conducting work that enables the exchange of knowledge and experiences. However,  the existence of the reproduction of verticalized power relations was verified, present in spaces and practices guided by the principle of co-management. It is concluded that workers see co-management as a possible way to guarantee integral and co-responsible health.
