Abstract

Moral harassment is characterized by abusive conduct against a person's integrity. Capacitating managers to assess and intervene in situations of moral harassment in the workplace can help reduce this type of violence. The objective of this study was to propose behaviors so that managers are able to assess and intervene appropriately in situations of moral harassment in the workplace. To this end, three stages were carried out: adaptation of the behaviors proposed in a thesis on bullying, construction of the teaching map, and decomposition of new behaviors. As a result, 271 behaviors were proposed, 36% of which were a prerequisite for the behavior “evaluating situations of moral harassment in the work context” and 63% for “intervening in situations of moral harassment in the work context”. It is expected that the behaviors proposed in this research will help in the development of training for managers, reducing the rates of moral harassment in organizations.
